NEW DELHI, Dec 23: Dense fog and low visibility conditions disrupted flight operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Tuesday, leading to the cancellation of at least 10 flights and delays to more than 270 others.
Airport officials said six arriving flights and four departures were cancelled during the day due to adverse weather conditions.
According to flight tracking website Flightradar24, over 270 flights were delayed, with the average departure delay pegged at around 29 minutes.
In a post on social media platform X, Delhi airport operator DIAL said visibility at the airport was gradually improving but cautioned that departures for certain destinations could continue to face delays.
The Indira Gandhi International Airport, the country’s busiest aviation hub, handles around 1,300 flight movements daily. (Agencies)
