New Delhi: In a shocking admission, Pakistani leader Chaudhry Anwarul Haq has openly claimed that Pakistan-backed terror groups carried out attacks in India “from the Red Fort to the forests of Kashmir,” effectively acknowledging Pakistan’s role in fomenting cross-border terrorism.
Haq’s reference to the Red Fort points to the November 10 car blast near the historic Delhi monument that killed 14 people. The attack was linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) operative Dr Umar Un Nabi, the alleged mastermind from a ‘white-collar’ terror module busted in Faridabad shortly before the incident. His mention of “forests of Kashmir” alludes to the April terror attack in Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam, where 26 tourists were gunned down.
In a viral video, Haq is heard boasting: “I earlier said that if you keep bleeding Balochistan, we’ll hit India from Red Fort to the forests of Kashmir. By the grace of Allah, we’ve done it and they’re still unable to count bodies.” He further added that armed men attacked Delhi and that the final casualty count was still unclear.
Pakistan frequently accuses India of fuelling unrest in Balochistan to deflect from its own internal crises and to obscure its continued support for terror groups. New Delhi has firmly rejected Islamabad’s allegations, reiterating that Pakistan uses such claims to mask its long-standing strategy of sponsoring terrorism across the border. (Agencies)
