J&K Police Launch Massive Raids on Jamaat-e-Islami Network in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Nov 12: In a major crackdown on separatist networks, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday carried out extensive raids across multiple locations in Ganderbal district, targeting individuals and premises linked to the banned outfit Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), proscribed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act).

The simultaneous operations, conducted with support from other security agencies, followed credible intelligence suggesting attempts by JeI-linked operatives to revive organizational activities through covert means and front groups.

During the searches, police recovered a large cache of incriminating material, including documents, digital devices, and printed content with direct links to the banned organization. Several suspects have been detained for questioning to determine their involvement in unlawful and subversive activities, a police spokesperson said.

Officials described the action as part of the J&K Police’s sustained preventive strategy to dismantle the terror-separatist ecosystem, disrupt its ideological and financial networks, and ensure continued peace and stability in the region.

Reaffirming its commitment, the J&K Police said it will intensify operations against all individuals and entities associated with proscribed groups to safeguard security and normalcy across the district. (KNC)
