JAMMU, Oct 13: Security forces detected and safely defused an old mortar shell found in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district, officials said.
The shell was discovered in a farm land in Karol Mathura border village in the Hiranagar sector on Sunday evening following information provided by local residents, they said.
A bomb disposal squad was called to the spot, and the mortar shell was defused safely, the officials added. (Agencies)
