Sunderbani, July 30 – In a surprising discovery near Solki Bridge on the Siot-Kalakote highway, a 50-foot-long natural Shiva cave was unearthed during road construction work. The cave, which features natural formations resembling a Shivling, a snake’s head, and a cow’s body, was discovered by JCB operator Kulbir Singh, who immediately stopped the machine and informed nearby residents.
Locals quickly gathered at the site, offering prayers, flowers, incense, and performing Shiva Aarti, transforming the spot into a place of spiritual reverence.
Eyewitness Mohammed Ashrif shared that a black snake, over 20 feet long, has been seen multiple times in the area, taking nearly five minutes to cross the road — a sight that often brings traffic to a halt.
Ashrif also noted that an ancient fort once stood above the cave site but now lies in ruins. The local Kalakote administration has since visited the location following the public response.
The unexpected discovery has sparked religious sentiment and curiosity in the region, drawing attention from both locals and officials.
