Bandipora, July 23 – Security forces apprehended three terrorist associates during a naka checking operation in the Chitti-Bandi area of Bandipora district on Wednesday, officials confirmed.
A senior police officer said a joint team of security personnel intercepted the suspects during routine checking and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession. The trio was immediately taken into custody.
While the identities and affiliations of the arrested individuals were not disclosed at the time of filing this report, officials confirmed that a case has been registered and investigations are currently underway to ascertain their links and intentions.
The arrest is seen as a significant success in ongoing efforts to curb militant activities in the region.
