KATHUA: An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces on Sunday evening in the Sanyal village, located near the International Border (IB) in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district.
The confrontation began after security forces launched a search operation based on intelligence about the presence of suspected terrorists in the area. Officials confirmed that a group of four to five terrorists is believed to be trapped.
Reinforcements have been sent to the site, and the operation is ongoing. Further details are awaited as security forces continue efforts to neutralize the threat.
Authorities have not confirmed any casualties so far, and the area remains under heavy surveillance.
