Rajnath urges NCC Cadets to contribute to ‘Viksit Bharat’ Vision

New Delhi, Jan 20: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, during his visit to the ongoing Republic Day National Cadet Corps (NCC) camp at Delhi Cantonment on Monday, urged NCC cadets to contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047. He emphasized that as an ex-cadet of the NCC, the Prime Minister envisions a prosperous and developed India, and cadets should play a pivotal role in turning that vision into reality.

Addressing a gathering of cadets and officers, Singh expressed that he sees the future of India reflected in the disciplined and united spirit of NCC cadets. “India has many bodies but one soul, many branches but one root, many rays but one light,” he said, appreciating the cadets for their exemplary unity and discipline.

A total of 2,361 cadets from across the country are participating in the month-long Republic Day camp, which began on December 30 and will conclude with the Prime Minister’s rally on January 27. Notably, 917 girl cadets are part of the contingent, marking the largest participation of female cadets in the camp’s history.

Reflecting on his own experience, Singh recalled his time as a student, an NCC cadet, and a physics teacher before entering politics. He praised the energy, enthusiasm, and leadership qualities nurtured by the NCC, stating that these attributes would help shape India’s bright future.
