Dimple leads protest rally over Rajouri deaths, demands CBI inquiry

Jammu Tawi: Sunil Dimple, president Mission Statehood, led a strong protest rally on Janipur-High Court Road in Jammu, condemning the deaths of 15 children in Rajouri’s Budhal region. Dimple called for a thorough investigation into the tragic deaths, demanding that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and LG Manoj Sinha order a CBI and NIA inquiry.

Addressing the protesters, Dimple expressed full solidarity with the people of Rajouri and the families of the victims. He warned of a strong agitation if the cause of the deaths is not determined soon. Alleging that families in Rajouri, Budhal, and Kotranka are migrating to safer places, Dimple urged LG Sinha and CM Abdullah to visit the affected areas and provide compensation to the victim families.

Dimple criticized the health department and other agencies for failing to identify the cause of the children’s deaths and pointed to a lack of responsibility from authorities. Additionally, Dimple raised concerns about the viral fever affecting families across Jammu, with no advisories or effective steps being taken by the health department. He further alleged that emergency patients are facing long waiting times for surgeries and that medical colleges in Jammu and Rajouri are struggling with a shortage of ambulances.

Dimple demanded immediate action from the government, including the posting of more specialists, doctors, surgeons, and paramedics to improve healthcare in the region. Other leaders present at the protest included Vipan Mahajan, Vicky Mahjan, Rakesh Sharma, Bishan Das, Ram Kumar Das, Akbar Khan, Shafi, Nazier Khan, Sanjay, Subash, and others.
