SRINAGAR, Dec 10: A fire broke out early Tuesday morning at the MLA Hostel in Srinagar, causing partial damage to one of the building’s rooms. Eyewitnesses reported seeing smoke coming from a locked room, which led them to alert the Fire and Emergency Services Department.
An official from the department confirmed that the fire was swiftly brought under control. “We broke the windows and door of the locked room and put out the fire,” the official said. The blaze caused significant smoke damage to the building’s exterior and partially affected some windows, paneling, and bedding in the room.
A police official stated that no injuries were reported, and a case has been registered to investigate the cause of the fire.
