Jammu Tawi, Dec 7: A tragic accident in Reasi district claimed the life of one person and left another seriously injured when their vehicle skidded off the road and plunged 200 feet down an embankment on Saturday morning. According to official sources, the incident occurred around 9:10 AM when an Eeco vehicle (JK20B 2493), traveling from Tharal to Shikari, veered off the road and rolled down a steep slope in the Mahore area. The driver, Noor Jamal (36), son of Noor Hussain from Shikari, died instantly from the impact. Another passenger, Abdul Rashid, son of Ghulam Qasim, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Mahore by locals and responding police personnel.
A police official confirmed the death of Noor Jamal and the injuries sustained by Abdul Rashid. A case has been registered, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
