    NEW DELHI, Dec 7: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will embark on a three-day official visit to Russia from December 8 to 10, the Defense Ministry announced on Saturday.

    During his visit, Singh will co-chair the 21st meeting of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC) in Moscow on December 10 with his Russian counterpart Andrey Belousov. The two leaders are expected to review the broad spectrum of defense relations between the two nations, including military cooperation, industrial collaboration, and current regional and global issues of mutual interest.

    On December 9, Singh will commission the Indian Navy’s latest multi-role stealth guided missile frigate, INS Tushil, at Yantra Shipyard in Kaliningrad. Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, will accompany the Defense Minister for the commissioning ceremony.

    Additionally, Singh will visit ‘The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier’ in Moscow to pay tribute to Soviet soldiers who lost their lives during World War II and will engage with members of the Indian community in Russia.
