Jammu Tawi: Mahant Rohit Shastri, President of Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, on Monday announced that the prestigious Kailakh Sanskrit Ratna Award for 2024 will be conferred upon Niranjan Peethadhishwar Shri Shri 1008 Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj. The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 3 PM, at the Majestic Grand Resort, Mishriwala, Jammu.
The event will be graced by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, as the Chief Guest. Special guests will include Sham Lal Sharma, MLA Jammu North Assembly Constituency, and Prof. B.N. Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Jammu.
In a press conference at the Jammu Press Club, Mahant Rohit Shastri shared that the Kailakh Sanskrit Ratna Award was established by the Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust in 2017 to honor individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the promotion and preservation of Sanskrit. This year, the award will recognize Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj for his invaluable efforts in safeguarding the Sanskrit language and Indian culture.
Mahant Shastri praised Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji’s unwavering commitment to preserving Vedic knowledge and promoting Indian spiritual and cultural heritage. He urged the youth to follow the example set by Swami Ji and work toward preserving and enriching India’s rich traditions.
The event will be attended by prominent dignitaries and trustees of the Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, including RK Chhibber, Ajay Sharma, Deepak Gupta, Jagdev Singh Chib, Naresh Raina, and others.
