Himachal CM campaigns in Dehra, criticizes election opponent

    Date:

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu made efforts to connect with residents across several panchayats in the Dehra constituency as he campaigned for the upcoming by-election. Starting in Dhar panchayat and continuing on to Bhater, Masroor, Dhanger and other areas, the CM took the time to explain to attentive crowds the developments and decisions of the state government since assuming power.

In his addresses, Sukhu pointed to challenges like an empty treasury and huge loans left by the previous administration. However, his government has raised annual revenue by Rs. 2,200 crore through strong fiscal management, he explained. The CM also highlighted citizen-centric initiatives such as monthly pensions for all women over 18 and addressing the needs of orphaned children.

At various stops throughout the day, Sukhu directed criticism at opponent Hoshiyar Singh. He alleged Singh's involvement in an attempt to topple the elected government and appealed to voters to reject such actions through the ballot box. When campaigning in Lower Sunhet and Sunhet panchayats near Dehra town in the evening, Sukhu launched a scathing attack on Singh's past record.

Residents across Dhar, Bhater, Masroor, Dhanger, Bilaspur, Sakri and other panchayats listened attentively as the CM outlined achievements and developmental promises. He assured the people of unprecedented progress if they vote prudently in the upcoming bypoll. Sukhu wrapped up his marathon tour of the constituency interacting with crowds at Naleti panchayat into the late hours.
