Govt schools lag behind by 19 pc in 10th standard results

Govt schools record pass percentage of 72.91 percent, Private schools with 91.83

Srinagar, Jun 13: In the annual regular results of 10th standard examination, the government-run-schools are yet again lagging behind in pass percentage by 19 percent.

The private schools in the results are ahead by 18.92 percent.

The official figures reveal that from government schools a total of 97,143 students appeared in the exams out of which 70,828 qualified it.

From the government schools, a total of 72.91 percent students qualify the exams.

Similarly, the figures revealed by the and Board of School (BOSE) states that 91.83 percent students studying in private schools have qualified the exams.

From the private school, 48,993 students had appeared in the annual regular examination of 10th standard out of which 44,988 students qualified it.

Pertinently, JKBOSE on Thursday announced the results of annual regular examinations of 10th standard with an overall pass percentage of 79.25 percent.
