New Delhi, September 28
Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir starting Friday morning.
Army chief General Bipin Rawat shall accompany the Minister.
She will fly off to Srinagar tomorrow and will be visiting Siachen on September 30.
At Srinagar's she shall be briefed by the Northern Army Command on operational matters.
A meeting is scheduled with Governor NN Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
In Siachen, the Minister is scheduled to spend a few hours and is scheduled to be flown in a helicopter to one of the posts.
