JKHC Bar elects Salathia as President

Sachin, Prem, Himanshu and Chetan in new team

Tawi, April 12:  BS Salathia, Advocate came out victorious in a fierce contest for the post of president of JKHC Bar Association for which election were held today.

Establishing a fair lead from the beginning of counting rounds itself, Salathia won by a margin of 261 votes over his nearest rival Advocate Mr. SK Shukla. In the final count, Salathia secured 829 votes and Shukla got 568 votes while Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmad came third by securing 191 votes.

Advocate Sachin Gupta declared elected for the post of Vice President by securing 663 votes over his nearest rival Advocate Yaseer Ajaz Tak who got 363 votes. Advocate Prem Sadhotra succeeded as General Secretary by getting 689 votes over his nearest rival Adv Abhishek Wazir who got 668 votes. Advocate Himansu Sharma is elected as Joint Secretary and Advocate Chetan Misri as Treasurer by securing 634 and 938 votes defeating Aditya Sharma and Jasleen Kour respectively.

Advocate SK Shukla, has gracefully accepted the verdict before the final result was declared. In a message over social media, Shukla congratulated Mr. Salathia, the other winners in new team and expressed his thanks to all his wise and worthy members of Bar Association.

Mr. Salathia expressed deep gratitude to all the members of the JKHC Bar Association for electing him for new responsibility and for reposing trust in him.
