4 houses gutted in fire at Kishtwar

Doda, March 1: Four houses were gutted in major fire that broke out in temple at Chingam village of Jammu and Kashmir's mountainous district Kishtwar on Tuesday evening.
“A fire broke out late last night in a temple in Chingam village of Dangar Nullah, Tehsil Chatroo on Sinthan-Kishtwar Road around 55 kilometers from district headquarters,” Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishtwar Sundeep Wazir told.
“Fire broke out in temple at around 8:15 pm on Tuesday due to oil-lamp inside the temple engulfed four adjoining residential house but fortunately no one hurt in the incident,” he added.
“Army, police and locals came in rescue and controlled the fire from spreading across the village which have population of nearly 50 houses belonged to Hindu's. I visited the village and assured every possible help to victims,” he added.
Houses gutted in fire were belonged to Roshan Lal son of Nek Ram Thakur, Bodh Raj son of Mangta Thakur, Mangat Ram son of Jai Ram Thakur and Krishan Lal son of Jai Ram of Bachen, Dangar Nullah Chingam.
