J&K reports one death, 151 fresh cases

    Jammu Tawi, Dec 18: 

    Jammu and Kashmir Saturday reported one death and 151 fresh positive cases ( 109 from Kashmir division and 42 from Jammu division) taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,458.

    With one more death from Doda district, the death toll in the UT has reached 4,511 and 151 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 339,691.

    The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,458 including 1,097 from Kashmir division and 361 from Jammu division.

    With 140 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 333,722 which is 98.24 percent of the total cases.

    “Cases tested positive in J&K include 55 from Srinagar, 17 from Baramulla, 09 from Budgam, 02 from Pulwama, 07 from Kupwara, 01 from Anantnag, 06 from Bandipora, 12 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 42 from Jammu division include 17 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 02 from Rajouri, 02 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 04 from Ramban and 15 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

    Meanwhile, authorities on Saturday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 50.
