Srinagar, Aug 18 (UNI) A man was injured when a bear attacked him in the frontier district of Kupwara on Wednesday, official sources said.
A bear entered the village Dodipora, Handwara, Kupwara district today from a nearby forest.
However, before local villagers could do anything, a bear attacked and injured one Bashir Ahmad Mir. The wild animals later escaped from the spot, they said, adding that the injured was rushed to hospital.
Meanwhile, the wildlife department has rushed a team to the village to trace the wild bear.
