31 Development Projects Worth Rs 227 Crore to Boost Infrastructure in Panipat

The city of Panipat in Haryana is set for a major infrastructure upgrade with the launch of 31 development initiatives valued at Rs 227 crore. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini kickstarted the projects while addressing a public gathering recently. He inaugurated 19 projects worth Rs 36.55 crore and laid the foundation stone for 12 more projects estimated to cost Rs 191 crore.

Additionally, the CM announced a special allocation of Rs 10 crore each for development activities in Panipat’s urban and rural constituencies. He believes this targeted spending will lead to tangible improvements in citizens’ lives by strengthening key sectors. Saini highlighted the transformative work done by his government in the last decade using a “double engine” model of development.

Infrastructure is seen as vital for attracting businesses and investments to the state. Under Saini’s direction, Haryana maintains high economic growth of 8% annually compared to the national average of 6.7%. When the party assumed power in 2014, they faced economic and administrative hurdles left by the previous regime. The new initiatives aim to overcome disparities and ensure balanced progress across Haryana.

Ministers Subhash Sudha and Mahipal Dhanda expressed gratitude towards the CM for prioritizing people-centric projects. They pledged smooth implementation to benefit Panipat and its citizens in a timely manner. The gathering witnessed enthusiastic support for the development agenda that will empower Panipat by improving civic amenities and services.
