“Some years back I got the fortune and good luck of moving our car factory to Gujarat and soon again with leadership of Narendra Modi, Gujarat has become one of hubs of car manufacturing in ,” so said none other than Ratan Tata, who finally established Nano car manufacturing unit in Gujarat, notably after making efforts in vain for that in Calcutta. Last days the defense ministry sanctioned a deal of 5000 crore, under which indigenous Pinaka multi barrel rocket launchers are to be manufactured. Greater portion of it will be undertaken by Larson and Tubro; and rest, TATA Aerospace and Defense. The trucks required for the launchers will be supplied by BEML[ Bharat Earth Movers Limited]. This is one of the largest orders given by Defense ministry to the private companies, which is enough to tell that in the economic development of the country today not only selected few big houses have the role to play.
Those leave no chance targeting Modi regarding Adani and Ambani should actually take note of the fact that whoever wants to do business, see India developed they know that at present most favorable condition for entrepreneurship is possible only when Modi is there at the helm of the affair. Whoever trying to show the so-called hands of big business houses behind the latest reforms in the agriculture laws among them are also those leaders who run the chain of big warehouses to store the agriculture produce. More than farmers it is they who are sensing the threat to the future of their monopoly in warehousing business because of new laws.
With the entering of private-sector the profession of agriculture could gain the new form of different qualities of products , coming out of limited traditional crops of wheat, rice , pulses and the likes. And other than that of big business houses no better option is there in providing infrastructure, storage-mechanism, food-processing and global market assess essential for so. Today only due to lack of reformed agriculture-laws that the great amount of surplus grain left stored at the mercy of government warehouses either get to have rotted, or become food of rodents or get to have become the source of amassing illegal wealth for the corrupt elements of existing government-system. That's why on January 23, 2010 Shashi Tharoor tweeted-‘It seems we waste more wheat every year to storage and distribution losses than Australia grows! Real need for the private sector to move into grain storage.'
However, today also same elements rose as an obstacle in the way of resolving the issues of unrest among the farmers who have been notorious for framing their role in the country in view of the interest of their mentors abroad― latest incident on 26th January in Delhi is a case in the point. It was same enemies' friends who got Vedanta Sterlite copper plant closed in Tuticorin by spreading chaos, bringing law and order situation to halt. Owing to which the production of copper in the country fell by 46.1%. In 2017-18 where we were among the top five exporters, by 2020 we turned to be the importer of copper. The issue of Kudankulam Nuclear Plant is no different either. Every tactic from demonstration, public-protest to agitation was adopted so that the project could anyhow not come into execution. The then minister of Manmohan Singh led UPA government, Narayan Samy, alleged that the two NGOs were given 54 crores rupees in this matter. Fortunately all the tactics failed, and Nuclear plant could come into existence. Incident of destruction by agitating mob in the mobile manufacturing unit of Wistron lying in Narasapur [Banglore] occurred last days. Here too who were caught found to be having link with the same elements, one of them being renowned student leader more notably.
And as far as central government is concerned its agriculture today has crossed 1,34,000 crore, which had once been only 12000 crores. These data are well enough to tell how serious is present government about agriculture.
