Srinagar, Sep 17: Stating that there was nothing objectionable in his remarks on Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti, Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) president Er. Rashid on Tuesday said that he will file a case against Peoples Conference president Sajad Gani Lone over his claims that he (Rashid) was not in jail for the past two months.
Rashid, who arrived in his home district Kupwara for the first time today after being released from Tihar jail, addressed a rally in Kupwara town which was attended by his supporters.
Talking to reporters after addressing the rally, Rashid said that there was nothing objectionable in his utterances on PDP president Mehbooba Mufti.
He said that he will file a case against Peoples Conference president Sajad Gani Lone over his claims that he was not in jail for the past two months.
“I will file a complaint against him over his claims that I was not in jail for the past two months,” Rashid said.
Lone on Monday asked Rashid to tell people where he was for the past two months.
“He was not in jail for the past two months… He should tell people where he was,” Lone had said.
He had further said whenever the Centre wants to hold talks with someone who is in jail, that person is taken ill and hospitalized.
