Srinagar, May 12: Police arrested two persons and recovered arms, ammunition and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) posters during a naka checking in Srinagar, officials said on Monday.
A police team intercepted the duo riding a motorcycle near the Baba Dem area during routine checking. Upon search, officers recovered a pistol, three magazines, 21 live rounds, two mobile phones and 10 LeT posters from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Faisal Ahmad Bhat and Faisal Ahmad Guroo.
Police said a case under FIR No. 26/2025 has been registered under relevant sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Arms Act, and further investigation is underway. (Agencies)
