Rampur, June 30: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on the Opposition over the insult to faith and heritage and stated, “Those who, before 2017, stopped the Kanwar Yatra, imposed restrictions on festivals, and ordered lathi charges and firing on people for saying ‘Jai Shri Ram’ are today advocating faith after seeing their political ground slipping away. The Congress, which had denied the very existence of Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Krishna, is now eager to visit Ayodhya by saying ‘Ram Sabke Hain’.” Comparing such people to the deceit and trickery of ‘Kaalnemi’, he stated that the public has fully understood their lies and double character.

The Chief Minister was addressing a public gathering on Tuesday after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for 102 development projects worth more than Rs 700 crore in the Milak and Bilaspur Assembly constituencies of Rampur district. He distributed awards and certificates of appreciation to meritorious girl students who performed exceptionally well in the Intermediate/High School Examination 2026, laptops to beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana, and cheques to beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana.

He also distributed financial assistance to eligible family members under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana and honoured traders for their special contribution to social development.

CM Yogi said, “Look, those who ordered lathi charges and firing on Ram Bhakts are now invoking Ram Bhakti and advocating it. It is the strength of the Ram Bhakts, the strength of your vote bank, that has forced these parties to become your followers. They must also be repenting for their sins and deeds. But Lord Shri Ram is the ruler of the world, the Lord of the universe. He knows who is right and who is wrong. In reality, SP and Congress are irritated that Ayodhyadham, Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Maa Vindhyavasini Dham, Mathura-Vrindavan, Prayagraj Dham, Naimisharanya and Shukrateerth have become so beautiful. They wanted to stop this, but they could not. Frustrated, they ultimately resorted to lies to mislead the people.”

He stated, the rule of Congress and SP was a symbol of injustice and anarchy. Before 2017, during the authoritarian rule of the SP, the lands of poor people and members of the Valmiki community in Rampur were forcibly occupied, and their voices were suppressed. Development was confined only to two families in Saifai and Rampur, while the rest of the people were deprived of it. Even in electricity supply, a policy of ‘pick and choose’ was followed, under which Saifai received electricity while areas like Pilibhit and Rampur remained in darkness. The people overturned this unjust rule and sent a message across the state.

He added by saying, under the double-engine government, there is no ‘pick and choose.’ Electricity will reach all 75 districts. Wherever required, Inter Colleges, Degree Colleges, Polytechnics and ITIs have been established. Now no one can stop development, no one can play with the future of the youth, and no one can insult our sisters and daughters.

CM Yogi stated, “During the SP government, industries continued to shut down because of corruption. Annadata farmers became so distressed that they were forced to commit suicide. There was neither any scheme for the welfare of the poor nor funds for development works. The future of the youth was severely compromised. Such was the state of anarchy that whenever a government recruitment advertisement was issued, the ‘uncle-nephew duo’ would set out for extortion, forcing the courts to stay the recruitment process. It was because of these sins of SP and Congress that Uttar Pradesh became a BIMARU state.”

He further informed, the sacred land of Rampur has been continuously blessed by Lord Bameshwar Mahadev, Shri Pataleshwar Mahadev, Om Nageshwar Mahadev, Kosi Temple and Maa Bala Sundari. The government is fully committed to the restoration of these ancient and spiritual heritage sites. Before 2017, festivals were restricted. There were disturbances and riots.

He added, today, all festivals such as the Kanwar Yatra, Durga Puja, Deepawali, Ram Navami and Shri Krishna Janmashtami are being celebrated with full grandeur and security. Ayodhya Nagari, now connected by a broad gauge double railway line, a four-lane road and Maharshi Valmiki International Airport, is evoking memories of the Treta Yuga.”

The Chief Minister continues by saying, “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi Ji, Uttar Pradesh is no longer a ‘BIMARU state.’ It has become one of India’s top three economies and is now the fastest-growing economy. Today, the state is a leader in providing employment to the youth and subsidies to Annadata farmers. We rank first or second in the country in the production of food grains, milk, sugar and ethanol.”

He added, through the ‘One District One Product’ scheme, traditional industries such as Rampur’s patchwork, zari work, violin manufacturing and mentha production have gained global recognition, while creating new employment opportunities for the youth. The famous Rampur knife, which the Samajwadi Party misused to grab the land of the people and harass them, is now serving the security of the people under the double-engine government.

CM Yogi stated, “The new Gorakhpur-Shamli Economic Corridor will pass through Rampur, connecting Gorakhpur to Siliguri and Shamli to Panipat, thereby further strengthening development in the region. To accelerate infrastructure development in Rampur, roads that are presently 3 metres wide are being widened to 7 metres, 10 metres and four lanes. The government is committed to the revival and expansion of Rudravilas Sugar Mill in Bilaspur. As soon as the survey report is received, the government will release the required financial allocation.”

He said, with the guiding principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,’ the double-engine government believes in the satisfaction of the common people rather than appeasement. The state government has provided an insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh to the state’s 96 lakh MSME units. Every month, through e-PoS machines, monitoring is carried out directly from Lucknow to ensure that the poor receive 100 percent of their ration. Before 2017, an LPG cylinder was a dream; today every poor household has its own cylinder.

CM informed, “Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, poor families have received a health card worth Rs 5 lakh. If a person does not have the card, the entire cost of treatment is being provided through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. A fire station is being established in every tehsil. Along with this, under ‘Operation Kayakalp,’ schools of the Basic Education Council and, through ‘Project Alankar,’ Intermediate Colleges are being given a grand new look.”

The Chief Minister stated, whether it is respecting our heritage or fulfilling the resolve of providing employment to the youth, the government is committed on every front. It is satisfying to see the names of youth from Rampur while distributing appointment letters for government recruitments. Those who were once deprived are today being selected for services in the state and becoming partners in development. The youth of Rampur, Milak, Bilaspur, Swar and Chamraua Assembly constituencies are today getting opportunities in government jobs and industries. Investment proposals have accelerated industrial growth.

On the occasion, Uttar Pradesh Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Dharampal Singh, Minister of State for Agriculture Sardar Baldev Singh Aulakh, MLAs Smt. Rajbala Singh, Akash Saxena and Shafiq Ahmad Ansari, MLCs Jaipal Singh Vyast and Hari Singh Dhillon, District Panchayat Chairman Khyaliram Lodhi, Surya Prakash Pal, former MP Ghanshyam Lodhi, former MLA Shiv Bahadur Saxena, BJP District President Harish Gangwar and others were present.
