    J&K: Terrorist Sympathizer Held In Kathua

    Jammu, Jun 30: Police on Tuesday arrested an alleged overground worker (OGW) in Jammu and Kashmir‘s Kathua district for reportedly facilitating the infiltration of Pakistan-based terrorists across the International Border over several years.

    The accused, identified as Haji Mohammad Lateef, a resident of Kathua, was arrested following a specific intelligence-led operation, officials said.

    According to the police, Lateef acted as a key facilitator for Pakistan-based terror handlers and allegedly played a crucial role in assisting the infiltration of more than a dozen terrorists into Indian territory.

    Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had remained in contact with Pakistani handlers for several years and provided logistical support to infiltrating terrorists after their entry into the region.

    Police said further investigation is underway to establish the full extent of his network and role in cross-border terror activities.
