Jammu Tawi, July 25: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha Jammu conducted literary meet today in Jammu. Didar Singh, a Punjabi and Hindi writer of the state was the Chief Guest and Jang S. Verman, columnist on art & culture presided over the meet.
M S Kamra read out a short story, Harjit Singh Uppal presented his article on the topic of ‘Simran' and Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina read out a script of a skit to be filmed soon. A poetry recitation session was organized during the meet in which Amar Singh Kuka, Resham Kour Resham, M S Kamra, Rahi Simbalpuria, Piara Singh Dhanjal, Charanjeet Singh, Harjit Singh Uppal. Davinder Singh Dhanjal, Inderjeet Singh and Bhachan Bharti presented their poetry.
Jang S. Verman presented his views about the program presented during the literary meet. He said that Punjabi writers in Jammu are doing very well in the field of literature. He suggested writers to publish their creations so that these works get documented and could be circulated among intellectual circles to exchange the ideas.Dr. Monojit, a Punjabi satire writer & Treasurer, Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, presented the vote of thanks.
