    Police attaches property of Terror Associate in Sopore

    Sopore:  Police today attached property worth Rs 1 crore belonging to a terror associate under the UAPA in the Bomai area of Sopore. The attached property is linked to Aamir Rashid Lone, a resident of Bomai, who is accused of providing support to terrorist activities.

    In a statement, police officials said the attachment was carried out under FIR No. 26/2024, which was registered under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), including Sections 18, 20, 23, 38, and 39, as well as Section 7/25 of the Arms Act, at the Bomai Police Station.

    The police highlighted that the property attachment is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt the financial and logistical networks supporting terrorist organizations and their operatives. This move aims to curb the flow of resources to such groups and their enablers in the region.
