Militant hideout busted in Rajouri

(Rajouri), June 12: A militant hideout was busted and large cache of arms and ammunition were recovered by the security forces in Rajouri District of Jammu and , an army official said today.

Based on specific information, a joint search operation was launched by the Army and police in the Lakharwali forests of the Thanamandi area of the district yesterday and found the hideout, a spokesperson said.

One AK 47 rifle with two magazines, 115 rounds of 762mm, one Chinese Pistol with one magazine and four rounds, four Chinese Grenades and four Under-Barrel Grenade Launchers (UBGLs) have been recovered, he said. Grenades and UBGL shells were destroyed on the spot, he added.
