Manjit condemns killing of teachers in Kashmir

    Date:

Tawi: Apni Party Provincial President Jammu Manjit Singh today strongly condemned the killing of two innocent Govt School Teachers including a principal in Srinagar in an attempt to damage brotherhood under a well hatched conspiracy.

In a statement to the press, Manjit Singh, Former Minister, said that it is highly condemnable and unfortunate to note that the militants have killed two more innocents.

He said Satinder Kour, resident of Alochibagh in Safa Kadal and Deepak Chand, resident of Jammu, were working as teachers at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School in Eidgah, Sangam and they were killed by the militants in cold-blood which should be condemned in strongest words.

“The cowardly act was the part of a conspiracy to hurt the communal brotherhood between the two communities and bring instability in and mistrust among the people who are living with each other since centuries,” he said.

He said that “The militants and elements who want to destabilize the peace and prosperity in Kashmir will never succeed in their motive.”

“It is the time for the people from all the communities to strengthen their relations and not give any chance to elements to damage mutual brotherhood with their selective killings,” he said.

These killings are taking place to create fear among the minorities, he said, and appealed to the Govt. to provide adequate security to the minority communities in Kashmir.

He further said that the security status in Kashmir has deteriorated from the last several weeks which needs review and improvement in the situation.

The people who work in Kashmir valley should be provided proper security after reviewing the security threats to them, he said.
