Rajouri, May 25: A man was killed while another sustained critical injuries in a car accident at Mehari in Kalakote area of Rajouri district on Wednesday.
Police told that an accident took place this evening when a car bearing registration number JK11E-2487 on way from Sunderbani from Kalakote fell into a gorge at Mehari Panjah area.
A man travelling in the car was killed on the spot while another person sustained injuries, police said and identified the deceased as Arjun Kumar, son of Krishan Lal resident of Dali.
The injured man identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Chaman Lal resident of Saroh was evacuated from the site of accident and taken to hospital from where he has been referred to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri for specialized treatment.
Meanwhile, police said that cognizance into the matter has been taken and investigation is going on.
