SAMBA, Nov 24: In a display of exceptional empathy and efficiency, the LIC Branch Office in Samba has settled the claim of ITBP Martyr Joginder Singh within a record time of 24 hours.
Notably, Joginder Singh, a 45-year-old resident of Abtal Katalan village in Samba, tragically lost his life in a Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh on November 18, 2023.
Following the news of his untimely demise, LIC Branch incharge Sanjeev Kumar, along with other officials, promptly visited Singh's family home to express their condolences. They personally handed over the claim payment to Singh's wife, dismantling the misconception that LIC claims are not payable during active duty.
“LIC has once again demonstrated its commitment to serving the families of our brave servicemen. We are honored to provide them with the financial support they need during this difficult time,” Kumar stated.
Singh's family has a distinguished history of service to the nation. His father and elder brother are retired Army personnel, while his two younger siblings currently serve in the ITBP and CISF.
The swift and compassionate response from LIC has been widely praised by the community, who lauded the organization for its unwavering support for the families of martyrs.
By expediting the claim settlement process, LIC has set a new standard for prompt and efficient service, once again reaffirming its position as the market leader in the insurance sector.
