India reports 1,79,723 cases, 146 deaths in 24 Hrs

New Delhi, January 10: has reported 1,79,723 new cases of Covid19, with 146 covid19 fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of and Family Welfare.

As per the ministry, a total of 3,45,00,172 covid19 patients have recovered so far in the country and 46,569 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.

“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 7,23,619, which constitutes 2.03 percent of the total cases,” said the MoHFW.

It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 13.29 percent and weekly positivity rate remains at 7.92 percent.

The ministry further said that 151.94 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 69.16 Cr. total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country.

However, till now the country has reported 4,033 omicron cases with 1,552 patients said to have been discharged/recovered. As per MoHFW, the highest number of omicron cases is in Maharashtra and Rajasthan at 1,216 and 529 respectively.
