Rewari, Haryana – While addressing participants of a half marathon event in Rewari on Sunday, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that Agniveers who have completed their four-year service will be given preference for jobs in the Haryana government.
The CM praised the bravery of soldiers defending the country's borders and said events like the half marathon help spread positive messages to the youth. He highlighted that unlike outdated recruitment practices, the state is focusing on merit-based hiring in a transparent manner.
Saini assured that after finishing their Agnipath stint, former Agniveers will be first in line for open positions. He urged young people to concentrate on hard work and preparation rather than connections or recommendations.
The Chief Minister credited the state's transparent recruitment system for ensuring welfare schemes reach all residents. According to him, the government is playing an active role in empowering youth and developing a strong Haryana through better education.
He also noted Haryana's sportspolicy contributed to success at the recent Paris Olympics, with several medalists hailing from the state. The event saw cultural performances at Rao Tularam Stadium prior to the running event.
Later in Palwal, Saini laid the foundation for a private girls' college while inaugurating an indoor sports facility costing 14 crore rupees. He said the administration is rapidly setting up colleges every 20 kilometers to boost female education across Haryana.
