Doubling Toll Tax at Lakhanpur & Bun is BJP’s injustice with Jammu: Cong

Tawi, Jan 28  -Congress has strongly  criticised the doubling the toll tax at Lakhanpur & Bun toll & said that removal of Sarore plaza is just to make fool of people.

Reacting strongly to the double increase in toll tax at Lakhanpur & Bun Nagrota, JKPCC termed it another gift of BJP besides the removal of toll at Sarore is a ploy & eye wash.

JKPCC Senior Vice President & Chief Spokesperson Mr Ravinder Sharma has said termed it a cruel joke with people of Jammu region who had observed complete bandh against the toll plazas and had demanded removal of Sarore & other tolls on the pilgrims visiting Mata Vaishnodevi ji & shri Amarnath besides common people.

Congress said that BJP has shown least respect to the agitations & protests of Jammu people in any matter as it is least bothered about the sentiments & sufferings of people of Jammu region. Be it smart meters, power crisis, property tax, unreasonable & exorbitant hike in various taxes, fees and charges, the people of Jammu region are taken for granted and their requests &  protests are not taken care of.

Demanded immediate removal of toll plazas at Lakhanpur & Bun which have outlived their time period and against the repeated announcements of BJP government like one nation one tax etc, he sought immediate withdrawal of increased toll .

Congress leaders asked top JK BJP leaders to speak up and ask their government in Delhi to withdraw illegal & unreasonable taxes on J&K people in times of economic distress.
