    CUE game valedictory function held

    , Oct 16: Billiards and Snooker Association today organised valedictory function of the 28th State Billiards and Snooker Champion at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium.

    Madam Rashmi Wazir (IPS) was chief guest, who presented the title trophies and other prizes of the event which took place under the aegis of J&K Council.

    She encouraged those young participants and appreciated the enthusiasm among young men from in the cue game. However, she endorsed the idea of involving women in this game.

    Among members of the Association present were Nikhil Kaphai (president), Kuldeep Sharma (general secretary), kunal Gupta (vice-president, Jammu), Umar Himayu (vice president, Kashmir), Sohail Khalid, Zeeshan Ahmed (joint secretary), Ishuk Choudhary, Rohit Chopra, Gurjeev Singh, Jaideep, Vishal Abrol, Rakesh Gupta, Rahul Kapahi,  Ishan Khajuria and Arun Choudhary (all executive members).

    The Final Results:

    Sub Junior: Snooker: Irham Mir, winner and Furkan Wani, runners-up. Billiards: Hardik Gupta, winner and Vansh Gupta, runners-up.

    Junior: Snooker: Umar Ul Islam, winner and Irham Mir, runners-up. Billiards:

    Kamran Mahid, winner and Umar ul Islam, runners-up.

    Senior: Billiards: Abhishek Pathania, winner and Sohail Khalid, runners-up. Snooker: Mudassir Aashiq, winner and Younis Kuchey, runners-up.
