Cop injured as militants fire upon police party in Srinagar’s Khanyar

On Sunday, militants opened fire on a police party in the Khanyar district of downtown Srinagar, injuring one officer.

Quoting a senior police officer, news agency GNS reported that the injured cop identified as Arshid Ahmad was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
