New Delhi: The price of jet fuel (ATF) was raised by 1.45% on Sunday, while the cost of commercial LPG, used in hotels and restaurants, increased by Rs 16.5 per 19-kg cylinder, in line with international oil price trends.

The aviation turbine fuel (ATF) price was hiked by Rs 1,318.12 per kilolitre (kl), bringing the new rate to Rs 91,856.84 per kl in the national capital, as per state-owned fuel retailers. This marks the second consecutive monthly increase in jet fuel prices, following a Rs 2,941.5 per kl (3.3%) rise on November 1. Earlier, ATF prices had been reduced twice in succession, reaching their lowest point this year in October and September.

In Mumbai, ATF prices were raised to Rs 85,861.02 per kl, up from Rs 84,642.91.

Oil companies also raised the price of commercial LPG by Rs 16.5, bringing the new cost to Rs 1,818.50 per 19-kg cylinder. This is the fifth consecutive monthly hike in commercial LPG prices. Over the last five increases, the price has surged by Rs 172.5 per cylinder, making it the highest rate in one year.

Despite these hikes, domestic LPG prices for household cooking gas remain unchanged at Rs 803 for a 14.2-kg cylinder.

The price revisions for both ATF and commercial LPG are based on the average price of international fuel benchmarks and the foreign exchange rate. Petrol and diesel prices, however, remain frozen, with petrol priced at Rs 94.72 per litre and diesel at Rs 87.62 per litre in Delhi.
