Car Plunges Into Gorge, 2 Dead
Doda: Two persons including a pharmacist died and one person got seriously injured when an Alto in which they were travelling met with a tragic road accident near Pul Doda area of Doda District.
Reports said that an Alto Car (JK06-4742) which was on its way from Sharerna to Doda met with an accident after driver lost control over his vehicle on a rough surfaced road as a result, it felt into the gorge on the bank of river Chenab near Pul Doda resulting into the death of two persons on spot.
Locals and police administration immediately launched a rescue operation and shifted the injured to District Hospital Doda from where he was referred to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment.
A police official identified the deceased as Surjeet Kumar (43) son of Mool Raj and Rishi Kumar, (48) son of Shadi Lal both residents of Sharena Doda whereas the injured have been identified as Ajeet Kumar (40) son of Panna Lal also a resident of Sharerana Doda. One of the deceased Rishi Kumar was a Pharmacist presently posted at DH Doda. (CNS)
