Jammu Tawi, Feb 1: In a bizarre incident, gold items worth crores have been robbed from a jewelry shop in broad daylight in the Greater Kailash area here in the city outskirts.
Police said that a robbery case was reported this afternoon in a jewelry shop near Fountain Chowk in the Greater Kailash area.
“As reported, the robbers used sharp weapons to threaten a lady staff in the shop,” they said.
Police added that as per the owners, gold ornaments worth crores and other valuable items had been robbed from the shop.
Police however, as per the CCTV footage, said that the robbers were wearing helmets and kept sharp weapons on the neck of the lady staff.
“They decamped with the ornaments,” said police adding that a case has been registered and investigation started.
