BOPEE conducts CET 2016

The BOPEE has successfully conducted hassle free CET, 2016 in which record number of candidates (33,258) appeared in 54 Test Centres (34 Centres at Srinagar and 20 Centre at Jammu) for which 365 and 298 venues in Srinagar and Jammu cities, respectively were utilized. The BOPEE had to constitute, for the first time, some more Test Centres both at Jammu and Srinagar (which included Hr.Sec. Schools of Jawaharnagar, Rajbagh, Burn Hall, Biscoe and Mallinson in Srinagar and Govt. H. Sec. Schools, Bazar-i- Qasban, Rehari and Eidgah Road Jammu and had to increase seating capacity of the other centres with the consent of authorities of Test Centres. This successful conclusion of the Entrance Test was not possible without the unflinching support of the Government as well as private institutions, both in terms of men and material.
The BOPEE has deployed more than four thousand, five hundred committed supervisory staff who were engaged at different Centres, Government Observers, Members of Monitoring Squad of Universities of , Jammu, SKAUST (Kashmir and Jammu), CUK and Principals of Govt. Colleges , Deputy Commissioners/ Additional Deputy Commissioners deployed by Div.com Srinagar and Jammu, Chief Superintendants, Coordinators/Control Room Incharges/Officials of Collection Centres of Jammu and Kashmir, Controller of Examination of Universities of Jammu and Kashmir, NIT, Registrar SKAUST-K and Jammu and staff of BOPEE, non teaching staff of Kashmir University, Jammu, the Faculty, both teaching as well as non teaching, of SKAUST engaged to man the Test Centre constituted at Public Service Commission Building Solina and Police Personnel. The exemplary help and cooperation received from all of them is deeply acknowledged.

The BOPEE expressed thanks to media houses of J&K for giving timely and adequate space to the notifications issued for the student's community from time to time and for civil administration of Jammu and Kashmir for closely watching law and order situation in and around Test Centres.
