New Delhi, Dec 5: In response to the growing concern over cyber frauds, BharatPe, a leading UPI payment platform, has launched ‘Shield,’ a comprehensive fraud protection plan aimed at securing digital UPI transactions.
The new initiative is designed to provide users with enhanced security and a worry-free payment experience. BharatPe Shield offers robust coverage against various digital fraud risks, including computer fraud, phishing attacks, and unauthorized transactions resulting from phone loss.
As part of the program, users making their first UPI transaction on the BharatPe app will receive 30 days of complimentary fraud protection for amounts up to Rs 5,000. After the free period, users can continue the service for a nominal fee of Rs 19 per month.
BharatPe Shield also includes a pre-reporting period, allowing users to file claims for losses incurred up to 10 days prior to reporting. The service provides 24/7 support through the app, a chatbot, and toll-free helplines to help users report fraud and raise claims.
