    Arrangements for Shiv Khori Mela discussed

    Dstrict Development Commissioner Prasanna Ramaswamy G today convened a meeting of the concerned officers and other local associates to discuss arrangements for successful organization of  Maha Shivratri Mela to be held at Shri  Shiv Khori Shrine from 12th to 14th February.

    The meeting was attended by ACR Harbans Lal, Executive Officer SSKSB Om Prakash, AD Umesh Shan, CMO Dr L.D. Bhagat, CEO B.S. Jaral, Tehsildars, BDOs, XENs of PWD, PDD and PHE, AD Employment, ARTO, Block Medical Officers and various other Civil and police officers.

    While finalizing arrangements with regard to basic amenities for the visitors, threadbare discussion was held with the officers of different departments and prominent people associated with the Mela.

    The police was asked to deploy requisite number of security personnel at various points including base camp and Ram Mandir to facilitate the pilgrims. ARTO Reasi was instructed to arrange sufficient number of vehicles for smooth transportation besides traffic police was asked to regulate smooth traffic flow on various routes.

    DDC instructed the CMO for providing medical facilities at different places besides keeping available one mobile ambulance to handle any exigency.

    XENs PHE, PWD and PDD were instructed for providing water facility , proper repairs and upkeep of the roads besides constructing steps, drains and uninterrupted power supply during the Mela.

    To provide toilet facility to the visitors, the DDC directed   BDO Pouni to provide make shift toilets. Further, he asked other concerned for providing fire tenders, accommodation to the working staff, display of flex boards, supply of blankets, public address system, LPG and other essential commodities.

    The DDC also ordered for constituting squads to ensure the quality of eatables with genuine rates. He also asked the concerned to ensure strict adherence to ban on use of polythene bags in the Mela.

    The meeting also discussed other events like organization of Dangal, cultural programmes, Shoba Yatra, display of stalls of various activities including flag ship schemes, Insurance covers, cashless payments, Jan Dhan Yojana and other schemes meant for women, children and marginalized sections of society.
