Jammu Tawi: Advocates staged protests at Janipur High Court road on Monday following an incident where an Assistant Sub-Inspector (A.S.I.) of Traffic Police allegedly misbehaved with a lady advocate and the President of the Young Lawyers Association (Y.L.A.), Rohit Sharma. According to reports, the A.S.I., who was reportedly under the influence of liquor, attempted to record a video of the lady advocate. When Y.L.A. President Rohit Sharma objected, the A.S.I. allegedly became abusive and started misbehaving.
Advocate Kohli, a core member of the Movement Kalki, strongly condemned the ASI’s conduct and demanded his immediate suspension. The protestors called for strict action against the officer involved and emphasized the need for ensuring respect and dignity for legal professionals.
