ACB organizes seminars, interactive progs

    Jammu Tawi:  Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Saturday organized various seminars and other interactive programmes at various locations in connection with the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week. Dalip Kumar, SSP ACB Jammu organized an Interactive Session with Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI) members (BDC and Panches/Sarpanches) of Block Ghagwal in District Samba. According to a statement issued to the news agency, the purpose of this programme was to inform and educate the common people through their PRI members about their rights/responsibilities as well as existing laws for prevention of corruption.

    SDM Ghagwal, Tehsildar Ghagwal, BDO Ghagwal and Naib Tehsildar Ghagwal also attended this programme and interacted with the PRI members. They were all encouraged to be part of the efforts of ACB in order to identify the wrong doings/wrong doers in govt. departments who abuse their official position for pecuniary gains. ACB officers also explained to them the various provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act as also the procedure required to be followed for lodging of corruption related complaints.

    Varinder Manhas, SSP ACB Doda organized vigilance awareness programme / workshop.

    The programme was attended by the Principal Swaran Singh Jaral, Snok Chand Naib Tehsildar, Surinder Thakur Forester Batote, teachers and other staff. Joginder Singh SSP ACB Rajouri held a seminar in the premises of District Police Lines Poonch in association with officers/officials of other departments of District Poonch. During the seminar, lectures were delivered by Inspr Raj Kumar Koul, Inspr Shrikant Parihar and Inspr Naresh Chander of ACB among the masses on prevention of corruption. During the course of seminar, the team of ACB also interacted with the participants & general public gathered and also briefed them for lodging the complaints against such activities whenever they observe.
