Kathua, Mar 09: A 55-year-old woman was on Tuesday allegedly murdered at her house in Kathua City while police have launched an investigation into the case.
A woman identified as Bholi Devi, was living alone at her house in Kathua where she was found lying murdered on Tuesday.
Additional Superintendent of Police Kathua, Ramnish Gupta said that the woman was not receiving calls of one of her relatives, who later informed police in this regard following which a team rushed to the spot and found the woman lying murdered.
“The household articles that were lying in the room indicate that a theft attempt has also been made,” the officer said, adding that the body of a woman was shifted for medico legal formalities and investigation into the matter is going on.
“We have also taken two persons to Police Station for questioning,” Additional SP said.
