Jammu Tawi, Mar 6: The J&K Government has ordered that all New Govt Employees will have to disclose their social media profiles including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, before a salary or allowance is paid to them.
The move comes after intelligence reports revealed to the Govt that much more than the designated separatists and terrorists, a section of its own employees was proactively promoting Anti-India hatred through their Social Media Accounts.
Some employees have been found threatening government officers, security forces, politicians and businesspersons on social media-WhatsApp groups, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
The Govt through a special provision of the Constitution of India can terminate the services of the employees or reduce their ranks without holding an inquiry but on the basis of relevant records and other collateral evidence.
Reiterating that all the new entrants need verification by the CID, the administration has directed the department heads and new entrants to furnish these details via a government e-mail “to avoid violation of cybersecurity instructions of the government”.
The Govt order said the information that includes the full name of the employee, the full name of his or her father and mother, date of birth, original and permanent address, current address if different from permanent address, name of the government the post currently held, mode of recruitment (PSC, SSBI any other), date of initial appointment, highest educational qualification, mobile number, e-mail address, social media accounts, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc, name of the immediate supervisor, controlling officer and his employee ID and mobile phone number, be placed in one or two pages duly signed by the controlling officer.
