Pak Rangers’ snip fire kills soldier in Poonch

    Jammu Tawi, Jan 21: A soldier was killed in unprovoked firing from across the LoC in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district of J&K.

    An official statement issued said that Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district on Thursday.

    “Indian Army responded strongly to the enemy fire. In the incident, Havaldar Nirmal Singh of 10 JAK RIF was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries,” the army statement. “Nirmal Singh was a brave, highly motivated and a sincere soldier. The nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty.”
