July 31 holiday cancelled: DIPR

Date:

Tawi | July 30: Due holiday for Eid i.e July 31, 2020 stands cancelled as tweeted late last night by @DIPRjk which is the official twitter handle of Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Jammu .

The tweet reads: “As per GAD, the holiday on account of Eid for tomorrow 31/7/2020 (Friday) stands cancelled.”

However, the JKGAD.in which is the website for General Administration Department shows no order pertaining to the tweet made by the Department Information. Neither has there been any intimation by GAD in a form of any order nor has the same been conveyed to media outlets in the press releases issued by the Department of Information.

But this is not the first time that the departments have shown incoordination and lag. Earlier also, on many occasions the same method of tweeting by DIPR without an official order on GAD's website has been used, leaving the followers and offline users in dilemma and shock.

This only raises doubts over the working mechanism and the casual attitude of the administration in Jammu Kashmir.
