To make hassle free pilgrimage and to improve the facilities for pilgrims/yatris from Jammu-Haridwar-Jammu, Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust Jammu/Haridwar has constantly in touch with the Railway Ministry, Govt. of India for providing additional bogies with Hemkunt Express (14610/14609) besides requesting them of converting Jammu Tawi Weekly Express Train No. (14606/14605) Jammu/Haridwar on daily basis instead of on weekly basis to cope of heavy rush of yatris on route.
During the recent visit of Pawan Kumar Shastri, President Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust at New Delhi, when he called an Railway Minister Piyush Goyal Ji, who was very kind enough and agreed with the genuine demand of the Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust and on spot ordered that Hemkunt Express (14610/14609) Train will carry additional three more bogies now onwards to increase more people intending to visit Haridwar. However, on the proposal of converting weekly Jammu-Haridwar Train daily Goyal Ji assured for sympathetic consideration shortly.
Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust expressed its heartiest thanks to the Railway Minister, Piyush Goyal and Arun Jaitley, Finance Minister for his benevolent support in projecting our demand in a right perspective. Due to this historical decision of adding three more bogies in the Hemkunt Express (14610/14609) Jammu-Haridwar-Jammu, the entire Jammuites as well as the Management of the Jammu YatriBhawan Trust express their sincere thanks to the Railway Minister Govt. of India and especially to Arun Jaitley, Finance Minister on whose sincere approach in the projecting the cause of the Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust resulting that today we succeeded in getting our long pending demand fulfilled said Pawan Kumar Shastri, President Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust.
The Railway today on 15th November, 2018 flagged-off additional three more new bogies added with the Hemkunt Express (14610/14609) from the Jammu Railway station the city of temples here to Holy city of Haridwar in Uttarakhand in presence of the huge gathering said Pawan Kumar Shastri, President in the Press conference which was held today which was attended by Gurdas Sharma, General Secretary, Ram Langer, Treasurer and Jatinder Aggarwal, Trustee.
